Tips To Select UBER Quality Headphones From a Bunch of Mediocre Ones

Nowadays, there are countless number of firms and electronic gadget companies which produce wide-ranging variety of headphones. But which products are actually good quality ones and which are cheap, less-durable and bad-quality ones. We all choose headphones on the basis of how snazzy they look their audio quality, weight, comfort, wireless or Bluetooth-connected or wired and lastly their price and guaranty or warranty.
Headphones can basically be classified into two main categories:-
(i) Open-Back Headphones

(ii) Closed-Back Headphones

The quality of sound, bass level etc. will obviously differ in both the above mentioned categories. First let us talk about Open-Back Headphones. These headphones do not have any cover on the back. The sound in these is a bit airy but generally has a good sound quality. As having an open back, they do not completely isolate us but lets a little bit sound trickle in so as to keep us aware of the surroundings. These aren’t so big that they cover up the whole ear and more and hence are comfortable. These were the pros. The con is that as it has an open back. The sound can easily leak out and you won’t have that much of privacy. Also, the sound doesn’t have much clarity and depth. These headphones are usually not used in public places, in airplanes, in trains etc.

Now coming to the second and much more popular category i.e. Closed-Back Headphones. They have a cover on their back. The sound has a much higher quality; it is not airy at all, deep and rich. The bass level is also higher when compared to the former category. These headphones will almost completely isolate you from your surroundings. It will be just you and your music. However with pros, there are cons also. As these completely isolate you from your surroundings, you will be totally unaware of them and under certain situations it is not good. Also as they do not allow any kind of ventilation due to having a closed back, after wearing them for a certain amount of time, our ears can get warm, itchy and uncomfortable. These headphones can be used in public places, airplanes, trains, offices, libraries etc.

After seeing both the pros and the cons of the categories, we can say that it really depends on the personal choice. A person may feel comfortable in using an open-backed, a close-backed or both the categories of headphones. Some of the best companies for purchasing uber-quality headphones are; Bose, Sennheiser, JBL, Philips, Portronics, Sony, Mivi, Shure, Skull Candy.
